2016 OABA Industry Conference Agenda Confirmed

The agenda for the 2016 OABA Industry Conference, Feb. 3-4 at the Columbus Marriott Northwest, has been confirmed and boasts numerous industry experts in several different areas of interest in Ohio’s agriculture industry today, including agronomy, grain and feed, safety and more.

The agenda includes both general and breakout sessions, which allows attendees to customize their conference experience based on their interest areas, and is categorized by the three themes of this year’s conference - Production, Perspectives and Performance. Experts from leading agribusinesses and research institutions in the state and across the country will share their collective expertise with attendees on topics related to the conference themes, including crisis management, young professionals’ viewpoints, perspectives on nitrogen management, what’s happening in the agricultural and fertilizer markets, and more.

Some of the noted session leaders include Chris Reynolds, PotashCorp; Kathy Mathers, The Fertilizer Institute; Marty Ruikka, The ProExporter Network; Bill Qualls, ResponsibleAg; and keynote speaker, retired U.S. Army Col. Peter Mansoor. Experts from The Ohio State University, the University of Kentucky and the University of Wisconsin will also be on-hand.

Certified Crop Advisers and state licensed pesticide applicators are also eligible to receive continuing education credits (CEUs) while at the conference. A breakdown of the credits available by session is listed in the agenda.

All-inclusive registration for the event includes admission to both days of educational programming and all meals, including the Industry Networking Reception & Dinner and the OABA Annual Meeting. Registration fees are as follows:

Member: $335

Non-Member: $475
