Share with Your Customers: OFBF Accepting Applicants for 2016 AgriPOWER Institute

Ohio Farm Bureau Federation

Ohio Farm Bureau Federation is now accepting applications for its next class of aspiring leaders and advocates through its AgriPOWER Institute. OFBF will select 20 individuals to participate in its AgriPOWER program during 2016, which will consist of seven multi-day institutes (17 total days).

The yearlong program focuses on public policy issues confronting agriculture and the food industry such as consumer relations, regulations, energy and trade policies. Topics covered during institute programs will include public policy matters facing local communities, the state of Ohio, the nation and the world.

Specific AgriPOWER sessions will help class members develop important skills necessary to become an effective leader and advocate for agriculture by learning from experts in their fields. Two of the 2016 sessions will be held out of state (one in Washington, D.C. and the other location will be decided at a later date) to help class members gain a valuable understanding of national and global issues.

The program is respectful of today’s busy farm and family calendar.

Individuals may nominate themselves or have their nomination sponsored by their respective county Farm Bureau, other agricultural organization or employer.

Applications are due April 15.
