Source: The Associated Press
The state is offering farmers a chance to dispose of unwanted pesticides for free.
Pesticide collections are taking place Aug. 23 at the Guernsey County Fairgrounds in eastern Ohio and Aug. 24 at the Miami County Fairgrounds in southwestern Ohio, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
The events, sponsored by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, will accept only farm chemicals.
Paint, antifreeze, solvents and household or non-farm pesticides are not being accepted.
