OABA Holds Strategic Planning Session This Week

Discussed New Mission and Direction for the Association

OABA Strategic PlanningEarlier this week, the OABA held a strategic planning session to determine OABA’s top priorities and goals for the next five years. Members of the OABA Board of Directors came together with important industry stakeholders to provide input into the development of a strategic plan, including a mission statement and key priority areas that will guide the association’s business in the years to come.

“The strategic planning session is the foundation of the re-launch of OABA. This important process will help us grow and move forward as an organization to provide the best service to our membership and represent Ohio agriculture,” said Herb Mayer, chair of the OABA Board of Directors.

OABA would like to thank Andersons, Inc. for hosting the meeting at their Maumee, Ohio facility, and Farmer, Lumpe and McClelland, who facilitated the event. In addition, we would like to thank the industry stakeholders who participated and offered their valuable input:

  • Alan Bensch, Plant Nutrient Group, The Andersons, Inc.
  • Larry Davis, Key Bank - Food & Agribusiness
  • Steve Hirzel, Hirzel Canning Co. & Farms
  • Elliott Nowels, Meister Media
  • Robert Obrock, FGDI/AGREX INC.
