Former OABA President and CEO King to Retire this Month
King Honored at OABA Retirement Open House
Next week will officially mark the former OABA President and CEO Gary King’s retirement. King has been serving OABA in a consulting capacity since May, when Christopher Henney succeeded him.
He began his service with OABA in May of 1990; before that he served as the president and CEO of the Michigan Agri-Business Association. He is a past president of the National Grain and Feed Association's Agricultural Association Executives Council and the immediate past president of the Ohio Society of Association Executives. He holds the designation of Certified Association Executive, as bestowed by the American Society of Association Executives, and was the recipient of the Ohio State University's Meritorious Service Award for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Science.
OABA recently honored King at a retirement open house—see photo above of Gary (center) with his daughter, Keri (left), and his wife, Trish (right). Friends, family, colleagues and peers from across the state came to reminisce and wish King well. OABA and its members would like to thank him for his years of service and dedication to the Ohio agribusiness industry and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Gary "the King" my good friend. Good luck to you and Trish in your retirement. You deserve a long and healthy period of golden years. Those of us remaining in the state association group will miss your professional guidance and good humor. Stop through and see us in Topeka if your travels allow.
