OABA Board Approved the 2011 OABA Strategic Plan

And OABA’s Logo and Website Get a New Look

At their November 16 board meeting, the Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) Board of Directors finalized and approved OABA’s 2011 Strategic Plan. The strategic planning process began last summer, when OABA embarked upon an initiative to set the direction, priorities and goals for the association over the next five years.

As part of the process, OABA gathered input from members and key industry stakeholders to identify the challenges and opportunities the Ohio agribusiness industry will face over the next several years and to determine how the association could best represent and act on behalf of its membership. In addition to identifying priority areas, the 2011 OABA Strategic Plan identifies a new mission statement for the association, which states OABA seeks to be: The leading advocate for Ohio agribusiness by creating a sustainable business climate through collaborative policy leadership, continuous education and effective communication. To reflect OABA’s new mission statement, goals and priorities, the association has also launched a new logo and “look” for its website. See the new logo and the newly redesigned Ohio Agribusiness Association website at www.oaba.net

OABA would like to thank everyone who provided input into the strategic planning process. It’s an exciting time for the association and for Ohio’s agribusiness industry, and we look forward to taking significant strides to achieving the goals set by you, our members.
