Ohio-Based Business Invited to Join Trade Mission to Israel
Ohio Dept. of Development/The Negev Foundation Israel Food and Agribusiness Trade Mission 2012
The Ohio-Israel Agricultural Initiative of The Negev Foundation and the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) are jointly sponsoring an Ohio Trade Mission to Israel on May 12-18, 2012. This trade mission is designed to give Ohio-based companies the opportunity to explore export opportunities to Israel, enhance current export to Israel, as well as to look for potential clients and/or distributors. The trade mission is open to any Ohio company interested in trade with Israel.
Mission participants will spend four days in Israel. A general itinerary is as follows:
- March 14 – General orientation sessions on trade with Israel
- March 15 – A day at Agritech 2012 – the largest international ag-related tradeshow in the Middle East (www.agritech.org.il)
- March 16 – B2B meetings and company site visits
- March 17 – B2B meetings and company site visits
The trade mission registration fee is $600.00/person. Participants will pay their own travel expenses, including transpiration to meetings and site visits outside of metropolitan Tel Aviv. A designated mission hotel in Tel Aviv will secure (for a limited time) rooms at a special discounted rate for mission participants.
Deadline for mission registration is March 16, 2012. Space is limited, so if you are interested, be sure to register as soon as possible. If you would like financial assistance to help cover the cost of the trip, the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) has an IMAGE grant that will reimburse up to $3000 (as a 50% of up to $6000 qualified expenses) to qualified licensed Ohio businesses that manufacture, supply contract services, or are headquartered in Ohio.
