OABA Welcomes Davis-Haines as Director of Communication and Member Education

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) has hired Angela Davis-Haines as Director of Communication and Member Education. The Director of Communication and Member Education position is a new role within the OABA staff that will focus on providing comprehensive communication for the association, while also providing leadership and direction for OABA educational programs, including workshops, seminars and conferences.

“We are pleased to have Angela on board,” said Chris Henney, OABA President and CEO. “The newly created position of Director of Communications and Member Education will further enhance OABA’s service to our members, and Angela’s skills, background, and passion for the agricultural industry are a perfect complement to that role.”

Davis-Haines comes to OABA with extensive experience in agricultural communications, media relations, event planning, as well as firsthand knowledge of Ohio agriculture. She began her professional career with Cochran Group, Inc., as a Public Relations Account Coordinator, where she worked on a number of accounts, including the Ohio Poultry Association. Most recently she served as a Benefits Engagement and Communications Specialist with The Ohio State University, Office of Human Resources.

Davis-Haines was born and raised on a grain farm in Fairfield County, Ohio, and is looking forward to once again working in the agricultural industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University, with a major in Agricultural Communications. Her official start date with OABA will be Monday, January 30, 2012.
