Chris Henney Continues Member Visits Around the State

Throughout the year, Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) President and CEO Chris Henney and staff visit various members around the state. Over the past winter, Henney has been around to many members’ facilities including:

OABA Joins Organizations Nationwide to Co-Sign Letter to the EPA Regarding Florida Numeric Nutrient Criteria Rule

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) joined 48 other national and state organizations in a letter to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stating the partners’ commitment to addressing nutrient loadings in our nation’s waters. The letter, addressed to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, urged Jackson’s approval of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Numeric Nutrient Criteria rule for Florida and withdrawal of the rule entitled “Water Quality Standards for the State of Florida’s Lakes and Flowing Waters.

OABA Board Breaks Bread with Neighbors to the North

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) Board of Directors recently held a joint dinner with the Michigan Agri-business Association Board in Perrysburg, Ohio. The joint board dinner provided an opportunity for the two groups to get to know each other better and informally discuss common issues and challenges. The two boards also discussed how they could work more closely on mutually beneficial programs and activities.
