OABA Announces New Winter Event: Crop Production and Seed Technology Conference Jan. 29-31
Expanded Event Provides Networking Opportunities, Including an Industry Networking Dinner
The Ohio AgriBusiness Association is excited to announce the new 2013 OABA Crop Production and Seed Technology Conference, which will take place January 29-31, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. This is the first OABA event of its kind, and combines two long-time successful events – the Crop Production Conference and the Seed Technology Seminar – with invaluable networking opportunities for agronomy and other agribusiness professionals.
There are so many reasons to attend this event, and to send your staff!
- Professional Networking – This event provides valuable networking opportunities each day for you and your staff, including an Industry Networking Reception on Jan. 29; an Industry Networking Reception and Dinner on Jan. 30; and a Breakfast Panel Discussion with ODA Director Daniels, ODNR Director Zehringer and OEPA Director Nally on Jan. 31.
- Value – This three-day event provides 19 continuing education credits (CEUs) – almost half of the CEUs that a Certified Crop Adviser needs in a two-year period – at less than $16 per CEU.
- By registering for this three-day event, participants will also receive complimentary admission to the Industry Networking Receptions and Dinner, and the breakfast panel discussion.
- Quality Speakers and Content – Each day is packed with top-notch, widely-respected speakers and industry professionals, sharing their expertise on a variety of topics, including: 4R Nutrient Management Stewardship and water quality, yield improvement methods, utilization of handheld technology and social media in sales, cover crop management, honeybee decline and much more. Speakers include:
- ODA Director Daniels, ODNR Director Zehringer and OEPA Director Nally will lead a panel discussion about water quality during breakfast on Jan. 31.
- Dr. Bruce McPheron, the new Vice President of Agricultural Administration and dean of The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, will be the keynote speaker at the Industry Networking Dinner on Jan. 30.
- Jym Ganahl, NBC4 Chief Meteorologist, will share insight about weather and climate changes, and the impacts these have on agriculture. (Tentatively confirmed, subject to change.)

- All-Inclusive Event Registration – $300
- This registration includes admission into all three days of educational programming, the Industry Networking Receptions and Dinner, and the breakfast panel discussion with the ODA, ODNR and OEPA Directors.
- By registering for the full event, you receive a 12-percent savings.
- One-Day Event Registration – $125
- Jan. 30 Reception/Dinner-Only Registration – $40
- Jan. 31 Breakfast Panel-Only Registration – $25
