The Guide to Seed Treatment Stewardship
Produced by the American Seed Trade Association and CropLife America
In response to growing concerns about the potential impact of seed treatments on non-target organisms (most pressingly, bees), the American Seed Trade Association and CropLife America jointly produced The Guide to Seed Treatment Stewardship.
The website features not only the Guide itself, but also several items that will be useful for getting the word out about this important resource to the entire crop production value chain.
If you click on the “Resources” section of the site, you’ll find the following under “Materials:”
- A brochure about the Guide (which can be customized)
- Two PowerPoint slides for presentations about the Guide
If you click on the “Media” section of the site, you’ll find under “Images” and “Advertising:”
- The Guide logo
- A screenshot of the site’s homepage
- Sample articles about the site for your newsletters or other member communications
The action the agricultural community takes voluntarily can help to prevent future mandatory requirements. Please consider the following:
- “Like,” “Follow,” and engage on Facebook and Twitter (@seedtreatment)
- Post a line about the Guide and a link to it on your organization’s website and/or social media sites
