2014 Agronomy Workshop and Expo to be held Feb. 7

Learn what agronomic and conservation practices are available to protect land, air and water while improving efficiency during the 2014 Agronomy Workshop and Expo. Certified Crop Advisors can earn five CEUs with all-day attendance.

The free event will be held Feb. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at All Occasions Catering in Waldo with morning refreshments and lunch included. Registration is required by Jan. 23. Make a reservation via dswd@delawardswcd.org or by calling 740-368-1921.

The event will include seminars and vendors focused on agriculture and conservation techniques. Seminar topics include soil fertility and nutrient management, tile drainage and phosphorus transport, cover crops, improving soil structure, organic matter and drainage, EQIP program and managing herbicide site of action.

The event is presented by the Upper Big Walnut Creek Partnership, Soil & Water Conservation Districts of Delaware, Knox, Licking and Morrow counties and the U.S. District of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service. The Ohio Livestock Coalition and Ohio Federation of Soil & Conservation Districts are the sponsors.
