2014 Ohio Export Program now accepting applications

The Ohio Export Internship Program is accepting applications until Jan. 31. The program matches companies with highly motivated undergraduate students who have taken export-focused coursework in preparation for a summer-long internship.

Last year’s 19 participating companies collectively estimated increased export sales of $5 million as a result of the efforts of their interns.

How companies have benefited from the Ohio Export Internship Program:

  • Matched with a trained, full-time summer intern focused on a customized export-related scope of work

  • Received continued program support from the Ohio Development Services Agency and the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University

  • Reimbursed 50 percent of intern wages (up to $3,600 for eligible small-to-medium sized companies)

  • Improved export readiness

  • Identified new markets

  • Conducted market-specific research and analysis

  • Streamlined current export processes and procedures

  • Developed an international marketing plan

  • Translated marketing materials and order forms.

If your company lacks the time and resources needed to pursue or grow a successful export strategy, consider applying for the Ohio Export Internship Program. Learn more or apply to the Ohio Export Internship by visiting the program website.
