OABA Sustaining Sponsor Spotlight: Agro-Culture Liquid Fertilizers

With a mission to “Prosper the Farmers,” Agro-Culture Liquid Fertilizers has been recognized as a high-quality national brand with ethically driven standards. AgroLiquid strives to help growers reach the best possible yields through its fertilizer products, while also using sustainable agricultural practices.

AgroLiquid was started in 1963 by Douglas Cook in St. Johns, Michigan. After becoming a corporation in 1983, Troy and Jill (Cook) Bandcroft joined the team. With their help, company sales grew to 1 million gallons by 1988. Today, AgroLiquid serves more than 40 states, Mexico, Canada and Belize.

An industry leader in environmentally-friendly farming practices, AgroLiquid is a  founding member of the Responsible Nutrient Management Foundation and a 4R partner. To stay current on recommendations for growers, the company runs the North Central Research Station, the largest research facility devoted to crop nutrition in the country.

As a member of the Ohio AgriBusiness Association, AgroLiquid has been able to better understand the problems that face Ohio agriculture, especially around issues of nutrient management. The company also benefits from the networking aspect of OABA, causing expansion of dealers in Ohio since they first joined.
