What Ag Retailers Should Know After the Toledo Water Crisis

On Sept. 26 at 12 p.m. EDT, agricultural retailers are invited to participate in a free webinar to discuss current nutrient management opportunities in the Western Lake Erie Basin. The webinar is hosted by the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Institute of North America.

The webinar will focus on the current state of the Western Lake Erie Basin and what ag retailers can do to improve water quality within the Basin. Speakers include Kevin Elder, Ohio Department of Agriculture, who will share his thoughts on how ag retailers can more effectively promote nutrient management solutions to their farmer clients. He will also review pending regulations at the state level and what retailers can expect for the future. The webinar will also feature a presentation from Eric Schwab, the newly appointed state agronomist with Ohio NRCS. Schwab will share information on NRCS resources available to ag retailers, recent updates, and the upcoming EQIP signup period.
