Committees
Your Association has several committees to serve you and your specific segment(s) of the industry. They range from general standing committees to project and event committees. Individuals serving on these committees are your fellow OABA Members or employees of OABA Members. They contribute their time, experience and expertise, without compensation for the good of the industry and the Association.

Industry Education Committee
This committee is made up of a cross section of our membership whose purpose is to develop quality and timely education that meets the needs of OABA members. This committee is tasked with exploring, developing and implementing educational programming that meets the needs of our membership.
Task Forces of the Industry Education Committee
Membership Committee
This committee is made up of member employees with sales and marketing expertise and/or interest in driving OABA membership growth. The committee works with staff to identify and solicit membership prospects for the association.
Nominating Committee
This committee is responsible for the annual nomination of candidates for expiring Board of Director positions. The committee is composed of the OABA Board Vice Chair, Past Chair and a member-at-large appointed by and of the OABA Board of Directors. The Board Past Chair shall serve as the Committee Chair.
Public Policy Committee
This committee is made up of a cross section of our membership whose purpose is to stay abreast (via OABA staff) of current and potential legislative and regulatory issues and make recommendations, as appropriate, to the board for policy positions and action.
Safety & Risk Management Committee
The OABA Safety & Risk Management serves as an information resource and council for OABA on matters related to regulatory compliance and health and safety issues. Furthermore it serves as a source for professional development and networking by facilitating forums for education and promotion of health and safety in the workplace. The OABA Safety & Risk Management is an invaluable part of the overall success and long-term stability for OABA members.
