Committees
Your Association has several committees to serve you and your specific segment(s) of the industry. They range from general standing committees to project and event committees. Individuals serving on these committees are your fellow OABA Members or employees of OABA Members. They contribute their time, experience and expertise, without compensation for the good of the industry and the Association.

Agronomy and Plant Protection Committee
This committee oversees the Association's general involvement in the ag chemical and crop nutrient industry. Responsibilities range from rules and legislation to OABA's policies on various current issues. This committee plans the annual OABA Applicators Day, which provides the required training hours for those with a pesticide applicators license in agronomic crops.
Anhydrous Ammonia Committee
This committee is responsible for the production of the ever-popular annual NH3 Safety Workshops. The committee also oversees the Association's general involvement in the anhydrous ammonia industry. Responsibilities range from rules and legislation to OABA's polices on various current issues as they relate to this product.
Crop Production Conference Committee
This committee is responsible for the production of one of OABA's best-attended events. In addition to provideing CCAs with needed CEUs, the annual Crop Production Conference provides a forum for basic researchers to share their work with those who apply the technology in the field.
Feed Committee
This committee oversees the Association's general involvement in the feed industry. Responsibilities range from rules and legislation to OABA's policies on various current issues.
Grain Committee
This committee oversees the Association's general involvement in the grain industry. Responsibilities range from rules and legislation to OABA's policies on various current issues to initiating and planning educational opportunities for Ohio's grain industry.
Nominating Committee
This committee is responsible for the annual nomination of candidates for expiring Board of Director positions. The committee is composed of the OABA Board Vice Chair, Past Chair and a member-at-large appointed by and of the OABA Board of Directors. The Board Past Chair shall serve as the Committee Chair.
Safety & Risk Management Committee
The OABA Safety & Risk Management serves as an information resource and council for OABA on matters related to regulatory compliance and health and safety issues. Furthermore it serves as a source for professional development and networking by facilitating forums for education and promotion of health and safety in the workplace. The OABA Safety & Risk Management is an invaluable part of the overall success and long-term stability for OABA members.
Seed Committee
The OABA Seed Committee is an information resource and council to regulators and state legislators on matters related to the seed industry. Furthermore it serves as a source for professional development and networking by facilitating forums for education and promotion of the seed industry. The Seed Committee is an invaluable part of the overall success and long-term growth for agriculture and OABA.
