1:00 -3:30 PM on Friday August 14, 2015 * Cleveland Yachting Club, Rocky River Ohio 44116 (15 minutes from downtown Cleveland)
The seminar, which will satisfy your Professional Conduct requirement, is $30.00 – and includes lunch!
Why sit in the office when you can enjoy the sun and water of a Great Lakes Summer Afternoon. If you wish to bring a spouse and kids, there is a pool (cost is $5.00/person).
The theme of the seminar will be dealing with clients, in these times when no one trusts lawyers and everyone has gone to the Internet Law School. We will discuss (from a Criminal Defense Practitioners point of view):
Fees
Common Mistakes
The Conflicts that arise when clients begin to manipulate the attorney client relationship
When you should withdraw and how
The relationship between the criminal defense lawyer and the municipal prosecutor.
The faculty (Trial Schedule permitting) will be:
Scott Drexel, Disciplinary Counsel for the Supreme Court of Ohio
David Doughten, Vice Chair of the OACDL Ethics Committee
Jeff Gamso, OACDL President
Michael Leer, OACDL President-Elect
Jonathon Greenberg, Founding President Cuyahoga County Municipal Prosecutor’s Association
