Gamso is a criminal defense lawyer's lawyer.

COLUMBUS - On October 9, 2014, Jeffrey M. Gamso began his term as President of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Gamso advocates full time for the Cuyahoga County Public Defender's office.

The organization's immediate Past-President Anthony Rich says, "Jeff is literally a legal guru. He is a criminal defense lawyer's lawyer. The guy the lawyers go to when they need an answer for complex criminal law issues and or appellate issues." Another member, Eric Allen, said "Jeff is one of the brightest, most thoughtful appeal lawyers in the State of Ohio."  The organization's new leader is clearly well-respected and well-learned.

Mr. Gamso has a Masters in English from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University.  He's won many awards including one for his Outstanding Contributions to Civil Liberties from the ACLU and another for the Best Criminal Law Blog Post.

Mr. Gamso achieved the highest AVVO ranking of 10/10 and the highest Martindale-Hubbel rating of AV Preeminent 5/5, two of the leading organizations ranking lawyers.

The OACDL is honored to announce its new leadership.
