OAESA Member Expiration Policy

  • Dues must remain current. Membership will expire if not paid by due date.
  • Delinquent members will receive a 30-day grace period during which they will continue to receive OAESA mailings. Access to legal assistance and staff advice WILL BE DENIED until dues are current. Conference registration fees will be at the nonmember rate until dues are current.
  • No matter who is paying the dues, it is the responsibility of the member to ensure that they are paid by the due date.
  • Recognizing there may be some delays when paying through payroll deduction or by the school board, OAESA will extend the grace period to 60 days for those paying by either method. During this 60-day period, members WILL have access to legal assistance and staff advice provided they can verify that they requested payment before the due date.
  • During a membership year, in order for dues to be made current, a member will be expected to pay all back dues to the date of expiration as well as any currently due amount. Individuals whose membership has been expired for more than one year will be considered a new member.
  • An Associate member wishing to change their status within the membership year to a Professional member may do so by a pro-rated credit of the remaining Associate membership to the cost of a Professional membership.
