The University of Saint Francis of Fort Wayne, IN seeks applications for full time or part time faculty for its Physician Assistant Studies Program in the School of Health Sciences. Under the direction of the Chair, Department of Physician Assistant Studies, faculty members receive a contract or letter of appointment with a primary responsibility in teaching. Faculty members assess, plan, implement, and evaluate instruction for students in clinical and classroom settings in coordination with established course and program objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Academic and experiential qualifications appropriate to faculty role.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Master’s degree in discipline or related field is required
• Doctorate in a related field is preferred

Licensure/Certification
• Current Indiana licensure as a Physician Assistant or eligible for Indiana license
• Maintains current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification

Experience
• Minimum of three years in the discipline preferred
• Prior teaching experience in clinical or classroom setting preferred

Requirements for all School of Health Sciences faculty engaged in clinical instruction:
• Current TB testing
• Current CPR certification
• Documentation of Hepatitis B immunization

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Demonstrates an understanding of educational principles and techniques used in higher education classrooms, laboratory and clinical settings
• Demonstrates in depth knowledge of the profession including theory and practice, current procedures, equipment and techniques used, as well as applicable regulations
• Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and electronic) necessary to interact effectively with students, faculty, professional staff, administration, clinical affiliates, and the community
• Demonstrates skill in the use of computer programs particularly word processing, presentation, communication, and spreadsheet programs
• Demonstrates being genuine, valuing people, and inspiring potential
