Kettering Health Network (Dayton, OH) seeks ICU PA’s to provide 24/7 service to both in/outpatient areas. Master’s required, ICU experience preferred. Send resume to richard.blackstone@khnetwork.org Based out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and providing 24/7 coverage, the Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed practitioner providing services to both inpatient and outpatient areas within the hospital. These services include transfers to and from the ICU, prompt consultations, including with the Emergency Department, and timely discharges from the ICU. The PA works in collaboration with the medical director in the assessment and treatment of inpatients and outpatients referred to the ICU. The PA will also be actively involved in the education with the patient and family about the care they are receiving, and will serve as a resource to families to assist in dealing with their various health care needs. The PA will communicate with referring physicians and departments within the hospital while maintaining consistent, quality, customer service oriented care reflecting the mission, vision and goals of the Kettering Health Network. Working with the medical director/designee, the PA will practice at the hospital as a licensed independent practitioner AHP in accordance with Ohio law and as authorized by the Hospital Board through the Medical Staff Bylaws.

Educational Requirements:
Current PA license in the state of Ohio; certified by the State Medical Board of Ohio. Prescriptive privileges certification obtained or in process (must be completed within specified time frame). Completion of 500 clinical practice hours preferred.

• Must have awareness of patient confidentiality and be able to follow directions well from physician(s) and work autonomously with little direction.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations and critical analysis skills
• Demonstrates ability to function under stress; ability to multi-task
• Maintains competencies and skills of specialty area of practice
