Opportunity Highlights: Fairfield Medical Center seeks an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join an established, progressive, practice providing comprehensive Orthopedic care in the community. The practice is conveniently located in Lancaster on the campus of Fairfield Medical Center. The provider is expected to function on the day shift in the operating room at Fairfield Medical Center, the Orthopedic Unit, the outpatient clinic, and other patient care areas as needed. The provider will experience extended hours and emergent call-in to meet patient needs. The provider will provide surgical assistance during orthopedic procedures, perform history and physicals, make pre and post-operative rounds, place catheters, post-operative removal of catheters and tubes from patients, assist in the management of patients in the outpatient clinic, assist in the training of staff and students, and complete documentation of services, all under the supervision of an orthopedic surgeon. Lancaster is conveniently located 30 minutes southeast of Columbus, Ohio and offers new schools and great neighborhoods. Work in a safe, family-oriented community with a superb quality of life.

The intent is that the complex, which will be adjacent to the surgery center, will offer emergency, health and wellness, diagnostic, rehabilitative, laboratory and women’s services, as well as a retail pharmacy and childcare. The project is expected to break ground by the end of 2016 or early 2017.
