Position................ Advanced Practice Clinician-(NP/PA) Marine Transportation
JobDescription.......... Marathon Petroleum Company, LP, has an opening for a qualified Advanced Practice Clinician (NP/PA) based out of our Catlettsburg, KY Marine Transportation facility. This position is responsible for the provision and management of occupational health initiatives undertaken by local management on behalf of employees, contractors, and the local community. Qualified candidates must be available during regular and non-business hours to assist with emergency response efforts as well as illness/injury response for vessel employees.

Primary position responsibilities include: oversight and maintenance of the onsite occupational health clinic; supervision of medical staff personnel; worker clinical evaluation and medical case management; management of health-related services such as drug and alcohol testing and medical screenings; and participation in process safety management-related activities. Planning and initiation of necessary continuing education credits and attendance at off-site company meetings and conferences is required.

Successful candidates will possess an ability to interact and collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to prevent and manage injuries and illnesses and to promote health, wellness, productivity, and safety in the refinery working population. This will be accomplished by designing programs and managing health services directed towards workers, and when applicable the local community, as well as engaging in the clinical evaluation and treatment of injuries and illnesses.

The position requires either a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with at least 5-7 years of experience in occupational health, or 7-10 years of experience in an urgent care or emergency room setting. Must be ACLS certified; ATLS certiciation is a plus. Supervisory experience is preferred.
