Position................ Physician Assistant
JobDescription.......... UC Physicians Inc., Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a full time Physician Assistant for its West Chester location.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Daily rounds with otolaryngology team on maxiofacial, trauma and head and neck patients
- Work in collaboration with healthcare team
- Manage and triage nurse calls, initiates orders needed for patient care
- Facilitates collaboration and communication with other consulting or participating services
- Participates in the post-operative patient education with nursing staff
- Provides continuity of care, improving quality of care to ENT patients
- Arranges scans and follow up care for hospital patients
- Actively participates in the discharge process and placement of patients in extended care facilities
- Available to help in the operating room with ENT patients
- Serves as a resource to other services in the hospital when appropriate
- Assists with general ENT clinic patients
- Phone interviews of new cancer patients to facilitate diagnostic evaluation
- Perform and document history and physical exam, assessment and development of plan of care
- Outpatient education of the patient about disease process and treatment plan
- Actively develops and participates in research
- Other duties as assigned
