Ohio Dominican University is seeking dynamic, energetic, and knowledgeable individual to serve as clinical faculty with mixed academic and clinical coordinating duties in its new master's-level program in physician assistant (PA) studies. This 12-month, non-tenure position includes a salary commensurate with qualifications. The first class matriculated in July 2012. We are interviewing and seating candidates for the second class beginning in August, 2013. It is expected the successful candidate will begin July, 1, 2013 at 0.5 or 1.0 full-time equivalent depending on applicant and program’s needs.

Partial List of Responsibilities:
Teach graduate-level courses within the department
Assist the program director with development and assessment of the didactic curriculum including arranging student and adjunct faculty schedules and other program administration
Recruit, develop, and maintain adjunct didactic and clinical faculty
Continuous collection of pertinent data for self-study/accreditation and quality improvement
Participate in admissions activities
Assist the program director with development and assessment of the clinical curriculum including arranging student clinical schedules and other clinical program administration
Recruit, develop, and maintain clinical placements for students for clinical rotations expected to begin in the January of 2014
Advise students regarding clinical placements
Additional Responsibilities: These may include curricular development, identification and support of student scholarship, student advising and remediation, individual or collaborative research, speaking opportunities, service to the Division of Math, Computer and Natural Sciences and the University, and other activities. The opportunity to continue clinical work is available and encouraged.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess exceptional communication and organizational skills, a collaborative approach to medicine and education, a graduate-level degree (master's or doctorate), current NCCPA certification, and a minimum of two-years of clinical experience. The candidate must be computer proficient and demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Experience in higher education is desired with a preference in PA education as a preceptor and/or a PA educator.
