HB284 Out of House Health Committee

HB284 was passed unanimously by the House Health Committee on Wednesday, November 14.

The bill was originally passed by the Committee earlier this year but never reached the House Floor.  The House Rules Committee referred the bill back to the Health Committee so that it could be amended prior to going to the Floor.

The bill was amended to remove the birth control language, remove Medical Home Model language (language passed earlier this year in another bill) and to add language allowing veterans to obtain a license and prescriptive authority in Ohio without a Masters degree but with three years experience as a PA-C in the military.

HB284 is currently scheduled to go to the House Floor on November 28.  Please call or email your Representative and encourage him or her to vote in favor of the bill on the 28th.
