What Do You Need to Know?
Information is provided along with the link for completing the Opportunities to Serve survey. This survey is designed to assist the ADA President-elect and Speaker-elect in appointing members to the various ADA committees and task forces.
What Do You Need to Do?
You are encouraged to review the information about the various Association committees and complete the survey if you are interested in serving ADA.
When Do You Need to Complete It?
Complete the Opportunities to Serve survey by the end of the day, February 22, 2010.
Call for Volunteers
Come and work with us to create our future by completing the Opportunities to Serve survey. We need you to tell us about your background and interests in serving the Association via a committee or task force.
The information that you provide is critical to the President-elect and Speaker-elect for making appointments to the various Association committees and task forces for the 2010-2011 program year.
Please note that the description for each of the ADA committees is available via a link in the survey. Or, you can view the description at the following link: www.eatright.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=id&ItemID=4294967655. We encourage you to review these committee descriptions to become familiar with the various opportunities.
The process for reviewing the committee descriptions and completing the survey will take up to 45 minutes, depending on the length of your responses.
Action to Take
First, access the Opportunities to Serve survey by clicking on the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/OppstoServe2010 Or, click on the Opportunities to Serve link found on the ADA home page to view the survey: http://www.eatright.org/Members/content.aspx?id=4294967820 Second, read the introduction to the survey, which contains a link to the description of the various Association committees to better understand the functions and time commitment for each. You may want to print and review this information before you begin to complete the survey. Use the Back button to return to the survey after printing out the reference materials. Next, simply complete the survey by answering each of the questions. Please take the time to respond to all the questions completely. You can complete the survey in multiple sessions due to the time limitations in your schedule. If you do not complete the survey at one time and wish to finish it later, please use the same computer terminal to access the survey. This ensures your return to the partially completed survey. Finally, click Done to submit your responses to the on-line survey you completed. A message will appear indicating the completion of the survey.
We realize that some of you have submitted your information last year. Unfortunately, we do not have the capabilities for you to update this information at this time. So, we need you to re-submit the information again.

Information submitted by members will be consolidated and forwarded to us for use in determining appointments to the various committees and task forces for the 2010-2011 program year.
Also, we will utilize this input during the 2010-2011 program year to assist us in the appointment of members to various task forces or workgroups that might be convened by the House of Delegates or Board of Directors.
Please keep in mind that the number of volunteers may exceed the number of open committee appointments. If that is the case, we may be in contact with you to discuss other ways for you to contribute your time and talents to the Association.
