New Primary Care Resources Now Available

The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Foundation has released a five-part video series that examines the vital role of primary care in healthcare today.  Learn how innovations being made in practices across the country are improving quality of care and decreasing physician burnout.

The “National Prevention Council Action Plan: Implementing the National Prevention Strategy,” released June 13, calls for creating healthy and safe community environments; ensuring that prevention-focused health care and community prevention efforts are available, integrated, and mutually reinforcing; supporting people in making healthy choices; and eliminating health disparities. The plan provides evidence-based recommendations that have the greatest potential to reduce the leading causes of preventable death and major illness including tobacco free living; preventing drug abuse and excessive alcohol use; healthy eating; active living; injury and violence-free living; reproductive and sexual health; and mental and emotional well-being.
