Meet a prominent legislator who will impact Ohio pharmacy.
Join OPA For a Series of Statewide Meet the Candidate NightsLegislation impacts everything you do in pharmacy. Whether the issue is importation of Canadian drugs by the state, or the possibility of technicians filling prescriptions without a pharmacist, you need to be heard! Come to one of the following events in your area to meet a prominent legislator who will impact Ohio pharmacy.
Your attendance at events like these reminds lawmakers that pharmacists are politically aware and actively involved in the issues affecting Ohio professionals and businesses.
The Ohio Pharmacists Association is a member of The Ohio Health Care Provider Coalition, a group representing approximately 70,000 Ohio health care providers and their patients. This coalition is hosting several candidate receptions across the state in September and October for all candidates for the Ohio General Assembly.
OPA would like to encourage you to attend the Candidate Night in your area. Each reception will run from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on the specific date and at the individual location enclosed with this invitation. Brief welcoming remarks will take place at approximately 6:30 pm at each of the events.
This is an outstanding opportunity for you to meet with the legislative candidates in your district to personally discuss the issues vital to pharmacy and how you and your business are impacted.

The candidates will attend the receptions closest to their legislative districts, so if your actual city isn’t hosting a reception, pick the one closest to your residence.
