Ohio Pharmacist CE Reporting

2013 CE Reporting:  licenses beginning with 03-1
2014 CE Reporting:  licenses beginning with 03-2
2015 CE Reporting:  licenses beginning with 03-3
2016 CE Reporting:  licenses beginning with 03-1

The Ohio State Board of Pharmacy requires that Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) Report Forms be completed before applications for license renewal are mailed. For 2013, pharmacists whose licenses begin with “03-1” will be required to report their CPE no later than May 15, 2013.

CPE Report Forms will be completed online and “03-3” pharmacists will notification from the board with the process to follow. The online CPE reporting is similar to renewing your pharmacist license online. There is no fee associated with reporting CPE online.

Certificates (statements of credit) dated on or after March 1, 2009 that were NOT used for CPE reporting in 2009 can be used for this reporting period. At least 0.3 CEU of the CPE reported must be from Ohio State Board of Pharmacy approved programs in jurisprudence. Program numbers containing “H03” or “L03” indicate that the topic is jurisprudence, but before completing the CPE form you should ask the program provider if the program has been approved or check the Board of Pharmacy Approved Jurisprudence Programs list on the board website at www.pharmacy.ohio.gov/cpe.htm.

As a reminder, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) program numbers end in “-P” if the target audience is pharmacists, and “-T” if the target audience is pharmacy technicians. Pharmacists should not use programs ending in “-T” for CPE reporting.

This linked CE Tracking Record is a convenient way to track your CE credits. You may also view the CE you have obtained through OPA by logging in to the Members Only section and selecting "View My CE History" from the menu on the left side of the page.
