----------------------\n\nDetailed Course Description:\n\nOver the last dec
ade\, the evidence supporting the importance of neuroplasticity in function
al recovery has been tremendous. The principles of neuroplasticity provide
a foundation from which we as rehabilitation specialists can approach our t
reatments. Furthermore\, the integration of motor learning tenets within th
is framework provides an optimal environment for functional change. However
\, it is challenging at times to synthesize the latest evidence and come up
with clinical implications. This course will review the principles of neur
oplasticity from research evidence as well as the clinical implications\, w
ith a primary focus on the neurologically impaired population. It will also
review key tenets of motor learning in terms of how to best design a treat
ment session based upon the foundation of neuroplasticity. The information
provided will help therapists develop a framework from which to design trea
tments that attempt to maximize adaptive plasticity and functional recovery
.\n\nLearning Objectives\n\nAt the end of the course\, attendees will be ab
le to:\n\n	-Understand the basic principles of neuroplasticity from both ne
ural and behavioral perspectives\n\n	-Describe the importance of motor lear
ning tenets in the design of treatment sessions\n\n	-Synthesize the informa
tion on neuroplasticity and motor learning into a framework for clinical de
cision making\n\n	-Critically appraise current treatment options based on a
n understanding of these principles\n\n	-Utilize this knowledge to expand u
pon and further develop evidence-based treatments\n\nThis Course is Sponsor
 ed By\n\n(http://www.mentisneuro.com/)
\n---------------------------------
