Announcing the Launch of the STP Initiative
APTA is pleased to announce the launch of the Strategic Thinking and Planning (STP) Initiative . The STP Initiative is designed to enhance APTA's ability to think and plan more strategically as we carry out our responsibilities on behalf of APTA members. The initiative includes three major areas: development of a comprehensive strategic plan, review of APTA's governance system, and Board and staff development. These three areas will be addressed through a series of meetings and will be informed by input from a variety of stakeholders, including the membership at large; component leaders; the House of Delegates; the Board of Directors; and APTA staff. Paul Meyer, CAE, Principal Partner of Tecker Consultants, will be speaking with component leaders on the topic during the Component Leadership Meeting on February 6 at CSM 2008.
