Student Essay Contest Now Open for APTA State Policy & Payment Forum - Deadline: Friday, June 27
Interested in learning about state legislative issues that impact the practice and payment of physical therapy? OPTA will be sending two students to the APTA State Policy & Payment Forum held from September 13-15, at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle, Wash.
The State P&P Forum event will increase your involvement in and improve your advocacy efforts at the state level. Hear from influential public policy makers and physical therapy advocates on topics such as copay legislation, emerging scope of practice issues, Medicaid and more.
Applicants will be asked to write an essay with the following prompt:
"How would your attendance at APTA's State Policy and Payment Forum help in advocating for the profession--and in particular House Bill 220--now and in the future?"
Winners will be notified by email. Recipients will be provided reimbursement for hotel and travel expenses of up to $850, in accordance with OPTA policy, and forum registration will be paid in full. See full essay contest guidelines and instructions..
