Much time and effort is put into developing therapeutic home programs for our patients. However, physical therapists treat many conditions that are chronic and recurrent. OPTA Annual Conference programming will be geared toward answering the following questions for patient care:

Our invited keynote speaker, Dr. Joan Vernikos, is an expert in stress and healthy aging. She is a retired NASA physiologist and her most recent book provides insight on activity promotion and healthy lifestyle, “Sitting Kills, Moving Heals: How Everyday Movement Will Prevent Pain, Illness and Early Death - and Exercise Alone Won't.”

OPTA is seeking presentations that will provide education to promote and support health and wellness for physical therapy practitioners.

Presentation proposal submissions must include the following:

All submissions should be sent electronically to Halle RunionDeadline for proposal submissions is August 1, 2014.
