OSCA Again Testifies Before BWC Board

For the second time in three months, OSCA Executive Director Woody Woodward has appeared before the Board of Directors of the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation seeking improvements for Ohio DCs and their patients.  The focus of this testimony was on supportive care and steerage of injured workers.

Woodward argued for a supportive care guideline within the BWC and an end to injured worker steerage by employers and MCO's telling the Board, "Any steps which the BWC can take to inform injured workers early in the process of their right to see any BWC certified provider would protect injured workers and level the playing field within the provider community."

The OSCA also will submit formal comment to the BWC in opposition of provider cuts in the proposed fee schedule. Watch future OSCA communications for more information.
