St. Anthony's offers CPR course

St. Anthony’s Medical Center is offering an American Heart Association course titled “Heartsaver AED CPR” from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 6, in classroom 122 of the Hyland Education & Training Center, 10020 Kennerly Road, on hospital campus.
The course is designed for lay rescuers over the age of 11 who are in need of CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) certification, particularly those who respond to emergencies in the workplace. Participants include security guards, firefighters, police and other lay responders. This is not the required class for emergency medical technicians or nursing professionals.
The program demonstrates skills for responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants. Participants receive a two-year certification from the American Heart Association.
