ABOUT
The Shreveport Louisiana Chapter of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association is leading the effort to promote SCA education and awareness throughout the state. Some of our members are survivors, individuals with an increased risk for SCA and family or friends of those who have suffered from a SCA. We have experience in providing customized automated external defibrillator (AED) programs and CPR training for organizations worldwide and as a part of the SCAA are helping to increase survival right here in our own state.
The mission of this chapter is to increase awareness through preventative measures, teaching preparedness and emphasizing the importance of CPR and early defibrillation. This chapter will promote partnerships with local hospitals, businesses, community organizations, schools and survivors to offer those who suffer from SCA the best possible chance for survival. We are excited to join this effort to lobby with other chapters to empower our government leaders to continue to support funding. We look forward to making a difference in the lives of those around us.
