In conjunction with Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month, the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association (SCAA), the Hearth Rhythm Society (HRS) and the University of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine (UPMC) are collaborating on an outstanding one-day educational program for physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and EMTs seeking to expand their knowledge of SCA and to discuss trends in research and care. The overall goal of this program is to update the practicing health care providers on managing heart disease, focusing on the immediate, short-term, and long-term treatment of patients at risk for experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

Survivors & Heroes Celebration
SCAA is celebrating survivors of SCA and their rescuers at a Cocktail Reception Friday evening beginning at 6:00pm. Survivors may submit information for possibly recognition at the reception by using the form here. Please note: all survivors and/or rescuers may not be able to be verbally acknowledged as time is limited.
Benefit Dinner & Awards Ceremony
SCAA is hosting a Benefit Dinner & Awards Ceremony on Saturday evening at 6:30pm. Honorees Include:
Safer Center, Maggie Dixon Foundation, Arizona SHARE Program, Bureau of EMS & Trauma System Arizona Department of Health among others.
Costs for dinner are $75 per person or $500 for a table of eight. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the National EMS Memorial Fund. Event reservations will be available on this page shortly.
