2015 Conversations Retreat

The 2015 Conversations retreat will be held the week prior to Palm/Passion Sunday - from Lunch, Monday, March 23 through Breakfast, March 25.
Our Guest Presenter is Pastor Paul Neuchterlein (informational link about Paul below). Some of you may already be familiar with Paul’s use of the writings of Rene Girard (along with other ‘Girardian’ writers). Others may already look to Girard for insights into the interpretation of Scripture – especially as it ties into atonement theory.
Our Presenter recommended these two articles by Mark Heim from the Christian Century as a way to connect with the work of Girard and Atonement Theory.

We will have sessions with Paul on both Monday and Tuesday – always meant to be conversational. We’ll share meals, a movie and discussion each evening, worship, time to be alone, and plenty of opportunity for fellowship with colleagues.
The price for our 2015 Retreat (6 meals, two nights, single room – bath/double bed/desk/rocking chair, resource person, and the facilities of the Spiritual Center of Maria Stein) will be $190.00. We currently have 25 rooms reserved.
