Reminder! Please RSVP for Congregational Officer's Day--March 16 2013

In January, a letter was sent to all congregations inviting all Congregational Officers to the Southern Ohio Synod annual Congregational Officer's Day, which will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 10 am until 3 pm. Our host congregation is David Lutheran Church, 300 Groveport Road, Canal Winchester.

Presidents, vice presidents, treasurers, and financial secretaries will meet with Bishop Holloway and our ELCA Portico Benefit Services representative, Barb Debski in the morning. We will then break for lunch and fellowship time. Presidents and Vice Presidents will then meet with Bishop Holloway to discuss changes, challenges and opportunities relating to the ELCA, synod and individual congregations. Treasurers and financial secretaries will meet with Arlene Dykeman, the synod office's Congregational Remittance Manager and Barb Debski. Both will share valuable information and resources that will help you with your role in your congregation. They will also take your questions regarding whatever issues or challenges you've run into while acting as treasurer or financial secretary.

This is a day just for you, the Congregational Officers of the Southern Ohio Synod. Don't miss this opportunity to meet others serving in the same capacity as you, and hear first hand how you can be better prepared to lead your congregation in the coming year.

Registration check-in will open at 9 am on March 16, so come early and enjoy some coffee and fellowship time with other leaders in our synod.
