Church Employers and Small Business Health Care Tax Credit--See If You Qualify

 

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) established a small business health care tax credit as an incentive for church employers and small business employers to provide health insurance coverage to their employees.  You need to apply for the credit by May 15.

 

The Parish Paper for March and April 2013 Available Now for Download and Distribution

The Parish Paper is a monthly publication containing "ideas and insights for active congregations." It is paid for through your mission support sent to the synod office.

ELCA Bishop Joins Plea for U.S. Budget that Protects the Vulnerable

In a Feb. 25 letter to President Obama and Congressional leaders, the Rev. Mark S. Hanson, presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), joined more than 100 national church leaders, calling for fiscal responsibility that models our nation's values and is mindful of the moral obligation to protect those most vulnerable.
