Office of the Bishop Informational Meeting on April 11 to be Held at Resurrection, Lebanon

Please note that the location of the April 11, 2013 Office of the Bishop Informational Meeting will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1270 N. Broadway St, Lebanon. The letter sent by Mrs. Barbara Klatt, Southern Ohio Synod Council Vice President indicated that confirmation of the location for this meeting was pending.

This is No Joke! April 30 is Deadline to Save $33,000. Take the Health Assessment Now!

We need 65% of the eligible ELCA-primary health plan members and spouses in our synod to complete the confidential Mayo Clinic Health Assessment by April 30. Taking the assessment will help all of our synod’s congregations and organizations save a collective $33,000 on ELCA health contributions this year.

Update re Deadlines for Submitting Forms: A Message from the Southern Ohio Synod Council re Bishop Election Process

Please note that the deadlines for submitting nominations and biographical forms have been changed as follows:

Nomination forms will be due by April 24 with biographical forms due by May 8. Nominees whose forms are received after April 24 will have the opportunity to fill out a biographical form at Synod Assembly to be reproduced and shared with all voting members.

Trinity Lutheran Seminary Summer Term Offers Music Courses and More

Trinity Lutheran Seminary’s 2013 Summer Term will offer an array of music courses, as well as systematic theology and courses in the practice of ministry. In addition, two May immersion courses will introduce students to the life and culture of Appalachia and to the multitude of religions in Columbus, Ohio.
