LDR Ohio has Several Opportunities for Your Congregation to be a Part of the ELCA "God's work. Our hands." Sunday, Sept 8th

If your congregation wants to be a part of the ELCA's "God's work. Our hands." Sunday , which is part of the 25th Anniversary Celebration, but doesn't know what project to take on, Mary Woodward, Coordinator for Lutheran Disaster Response of Ohio, shared these suggestions.

Due to the recent number of disasters, Lutheran Disaster Response of Ohio is in need of health kits, flood buckets, school kits and quilts/fleece blankets. These are all service opportunities anyone in your congregation can participate in regardless of age, physical condition or time limitations. Imagine youth, parents, grandparents and everyone else in between working side-by-side to meet the needs of disaster victims (mostly families) in Ohio. What a picture! (Which, by the way, if you take photos of your participation in the "God's work. Our hands." Sunday, please send them to sbn3634@gmail.com!)

If your congregation would like more information, contact Mary Woodward, LDR Ohio Disaster Coordinator or go to www.ldrohio.org. If you GodsWorkOurHands T-shirtwould like service projects that help people in your community, contact Mary at 740.509.1132.
