Church Mutual Tip of the Month

Slips and falls are a leading cause of injury in worship centers. Our new safety video shows how you can help put an end to the trend.

In a recent year, slips and falls accounted for 3,467 claims at Church Mutual. Broken bones, as well as head, neck and back injuries, are a common result. Even worse, according to the National Safety Council, these types of accidents were responsible for 14,500 deaths in one year. The majority of deaths — 80% — were people over the age of 65.

Don’t put your congregation at risk a minute longer. In our new Slips and Falls video, you’ll learn how to:

1.) Make stairs safer.
2.) Secure entryways in winter and during rainy weather.
3.) Identify and prevent common slip causes.

For more information on how you can prevent slips and falls at your worship center, watch our latest Safety Series video. Or explore our other safety materials dedicated to preventing slips, falls and other accidents.
