Request from Southwest PA Synod in Response to Shootings at PA High School

Bishop Kurt Kusserow, Southwest Pennsylvania Synod, has asked for us to join with the members of their synod to offer cards and notes of prayer and encouragement for the families affected by the recent shootings at Franklin Regional High School in Pensylvannia.

Bishop Kusserow had this to say in an email to the Bishops of the ELCA:

Last night, members of my staff met with Pastor Wayne Gillespie and the congregation council of Christ's Lutheran Church in Murrysville to talk about how best the congregation can engage a helpful and long-term response to the stabbings last Wednesday at Franklin Regional High School. The pastor made one specific request of me: that I solicit cards and notes of support from their brothers and sisters around the church. They are dedicating a bulletin board in their narthex to display the cards and notes.
