2014 Fall Southern Ohio Synod Lay School of Theology New Learning Opportunities

The course, “Christian Ethics: Theology, Method and Practice,” promises to be an interesting and meaningful learning experience. It is geared for the person-in-the-pew and also for people in positions of lay worship leadership in the congregation.

We will explore shared features of Christian faith and show how that communal commitment forms our values, character, virtues and “eagerness to do what is right”. Tough, real-life dilemmas will be discussed from Ethics in Community of Promise book.

The instructor for this course is James M. Childs, Jr. PhD. Dr. Childs has been associated with Trinity Seminary since 1978 to the present, as a Professor of Ethics, and has also held many other positions at the seminary.

Classes begin September 13, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran, Chillicothe.

Registration is open from now until September 1, 2014. Full detailed information is available on the downloadable flyer.

Those who have taken previous classes know they are in for a treat. Why not join us?
