Holy Trinity Lutheran Church invites you to join them in Akron, Ohio, ​for Growing in Christ…a conference exploring ​the challenges and possibilities for ​Christian discipleship​. The dates are September 5 and 6, 2014.

After 28 years, the group has decided to stop touring at the end of 2015. They are hoping to work with as many synods and congregations as possible before they retire from the road.

Long-term care is the medical and/or social term for helping people who develop disabilities or chronic care needs. Long-term care insurance pays for long-term care services such as helping someone with walking, getting dressed, eating, bathing and care associated with Alzheimer's disease. 

ELCA presiding bishop offers ‘State of the ELCA’ at ELCA WELCA Convention

The Rev. Elizabeth A. Eaton, presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), said part of the reason why women now serve as ordained pastors in the ELCA “is because of the work done by Women of the ELCA and predecessor church bodies.” 

Women of the ELCA Concludes Ninth Triennial Convention

he Ninth Triennial Convention of Women of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) concluded here July 24 with the installation of new officers and members of the Women of the ELCA churchwide executive board. The convention, which took place at the Charlotte Convention Center July 22-24, is Women of the ELCA's highest legislative authority with delegates elected by each of the 64 synodical women's organizations.

New officers and executive board members of Women of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) were installed July 24, 2014, during the closing service of the Ninth Triennial Convention of the Women of the ELCA, which took place at the Charlotte Convention Center here July 22-24.

ELCA Advocacy Living Earth Reflections July 2014

As Christians, we think and talk about what we may be "called" to do out of faith for our families, ourselves, our neighbors and our communities. You may be called to work against poverty and hunger, and out of that call you might work in a food pantry or send a letter to your member of Congress about cuts to federal nutrition programs. You likely signed up for these emails in part because you feel a call to care for God's creation. 

College Students Surpass Fundraising Goal for ELCA Malaria Campaign

Students attending some of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s (ELCA) colleges, universities and campus ministries surpassed a matching challenge goal this month of raising $125,000 for the ELCA Malaria Campaign by $6,619.20 and counting.
