'The comfort of hearing Swahili' Article from Living Lutheran re SOS Congregation, Ibada ya Kiswahili

Check out the article on our Swahili-speaking congregation in Columbus, Ibada ya Kiswahili. This congregation and their pastor, Ipanya Mwakabonga, were welcomed into the Southern Ohio Synod, officially, by Bishop Suzanne Dillahunt at the 2014 Southern Ohio Synod Assembly. 

This vibrant, growing congregation is just one of many congregations in our synod and the ELCA where English is not the first language in worship. Thanks to everyone who has made this new congregation feel welcomed. Please continue to pray for them as they reach into the community to grow what God has planted.
