Obituary for The Reverend Enno O. Gahl
The Rev. Enno Gahl, of Westlake, Ohio, formerly of Columbus, passed away November 7, 2014 at the age of 104.
He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 1935. Rev. Gahl served at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago and at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Columbus.
He was the beloved husband of 76 years to Ruth; dear father of Rev. Richard (Judy) and John (Connie); cherished grandfather of five; and great-grandfather of seven. He was predeceased by three brothers.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 21485 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, where the family will receive friends on Thursday from Noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, PO Box 76736, Cleveland, 44101 or to St. Paul's Lutheran School, 846 N. Menard Ave., Chicago, IL 60651.
