Manager of Risk Management
Kadlec Regional Medical Center
Under the general direction of the Vice President/Corporate Counsel, the Manager of Risk Management has broad responsibility for the organization's risk management activities. This includes administering the risk management program on a day-to-day basis, managing and analyzing risk management data, managing claims against the organization, interfacing with defense legal counsel, oversight of risk financing and insurance program, conducting risk management educational programs, reviewing and formalizing policy or organizational changes and making recommendations for final approval to Senior Management and complying with risk management related standards by the Joint Commission and the Washington State Department of Health, all with the objective of maintaining patient safety, enhancing quality care, and controlling and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Health Care, Business, Insurance or related area; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Five to eight years risk management experience, preferably in an integrated health/hospital system, including experience in multi specialty physician clinics. Experience in quality management preferred.
- Certification: Single Risk Management Certification; ARM, CPHRM, FASHRM.
